グラフィックアーティストであるシェパード・フェアリーの行うプロジェクトの一つが『Obey Project』です。スタートは1989年、プロレスラーのアンドレ・ザ・ジャイアントの顔をモチーフにしたポスターやステッカーを世界中にばらまき、そのゲリラ的な手法と【OBEY(従え！)】という強烈なプロパガンダ的メッセージで話題を集めました。「ストリート＝情報」という図式を世界規模で体現したこのプロジェクトを成功させた後も、精力的な活動を行っており、その分野もアパレルやドキュメンタリーフィルムなど様々な方面に飛躍しています。
